first local integrated semiconductor manufacturer in the country, AIC aspires to spearhead
Malaysia's mission to become a highly developed nation by contributing to the nation's
economic growth via the manufacture of high technology products locally. The semiconductor
division, under AIC Technology Sdn Bhd, is a integrated semiconductor group providing the
following services:
- Integrated Circuit ('IC") design and system
solutions provider
- Assembly and test of ICs packages
- Distribution of ICs and electronic components
The Group's investment and concerted efforts in AIC
Semiconductor Sdn Bhd ("AICS") at the Kulim High Technology Park is a testimony
of AIC's commitment to become one of the region's leading assembly and test facility for
IC packages ranging from the standard types of packages like SOICs, PLCCs, VSOPs and PDIPs
to the high-end packages like the plastic and ceramic BGAs and MCMs. In addition, the
vision of becoming a fabless integrated semiconductor group is realised through the
establishment of our own IC design, research and development subsidiary, namely AIC
Microelectronics Sdn Bhd ("AICM") which has been granted a MSC status and
through our Singapore subsidiary, Nucleus Electronics Pte Ltd ("NEPL") which
distributes ICs and electronics components for consumer electronics and industrial
applications for the South East Asian region.
This division, through its intensive research and development activities is constantly
upgrading and improving its technological edge to ensure that it remains a leader in the
industry.
At present, AICS assembles and tests for its joint venture partner in USA, Atmel
Corporation whilst NEPL, as a representative distributor for Atmel Corporation.: |
