History and Milestone

AIC Corporation Berhad (AIC) was incorporated on March 6, 1990 under the name Autoindustries Corporation Sdn. Bhd. Starting as an automotive parts manufacturer, AIC diversified into the semiconductor, plastics, precision metal and information technology industries between 1995 to 1998 through acquisitions of companies and joint ventures into new businesses.

AIC was listed on the Second Board of the Bursa Malaysia Berhad (Bursa Securities) on December 14, 1994 and assumed its present name in April 1997 to reflect its diversification from the automotive industry. AIC’s listing was then transferred to the Main Board of the Bursa Securities in July 2000 to better reflect its capital base and financial performance.

AIC’s vision is “Leading Malaysia In Technology”. We aspire to be a leading company providing cutting-edge technology and solutions, including higher value-added design and engineering services to high-tech industries such as semiconductor and display.

The semiconductor division, under AIC Technology Sdn. Bhd., is the first local fabless integrated semiconductor manufacturer in Malaysia providing the following one-stop solution services:

    Integrated circuit (IC) design and system solutions;
    Assembly and test of IC packages;
    Drop-shipment and distribution centre services for ICs; and
   Distribution of semiconductor and electronic components.


The display division, under AIC Display Sdn. Bhd., which commenced operations in early 2004, designs, develops, manufactures, markets and distributes multimedia displays including thin film transistor – liquid crystal display (TFT-LCD) and plasma televisions and monitors. AIC Display is the first TFT-LCD television manufacturer in Malaysia and the plant currently has two production lines to manufacture televisions and monitors of up to 50” sizes.

With a total staff strength of more than a thousand. AIC considers the employees as its greatest asset and with each member consolidating their resources, knowledge and ingenuity towards technological advancement and customer satisfaction of our products and services, we are confident in achieving our aspiration to become one of Malaysia's most enterprising and progressive companies.
